About Ask & Voices
How do I set Ask & Voices alerts?
Ask & Voices alerts can be found many places on the website.
When carrying out a property search in a particular location and you wish to find out more about the area; from local area information to finding services that are recommended, you can click on the ‘Get Answers for this Area’ button at the top or bottom of the search results page of both Quicksearch and Overseas property search. Clikcing the link will direct you to the Ask & Voices home page where user's posts made for your chosen area will be displayed.
If you cannot find a post matching your requirements you can create an alert for new blogs and questions posted for the area you're interested in researching. You can set up alerts for the location in the Ask & Voices page by clicking on the link called ‘Get alerts for new blogs and questions in this category & location’. To enable this feature you have to be logged in as a user and be searching a category and location.
Clicking on the ‘My Ask/Voices & Alerts’ under ‘My Property Tools’ section in the QuickSearch panel will direct you to your ‘My Ask/Voices & Alerts’ page in your member’s area. You can also access this page by simply logging in to your member’s area and going to ‘My Messages’ page and clicking on ‘To set up or check alerts, please click here’. This page will display the Search Alerts, Property Alerts and Ask & Voices Alerts you have previously set up. From this page you can manage/edit/delete all your alerts.

When you comment on another user’s blog you can set up alerts to be notified when anyone else comments on their blog too. Also an alert can be set to get notifications whenever another blog is created in the same topic and location. The links to set up these two alerts are by the publish button.

Alerts can be set from your search results pages. Whenever you search you can set up alerts for any given topic and location you want to be notified for when a user creates a blog in it. The link to set up this alert is situated at the top and bottom of the Ask & Voices search results pages.

An Ask & Voices alert allows you to be kept up-to-date with what’s been posted on a particular topic in a location that matches your expertise enabling you answer or comment.
Alerts can be set up and cancelled at your command. You can set up and manage all types of alerts from your member’s area. You have full control over your alerts, you can set up as many as you want, however some Ask & Voices content can get extremely active and you may get many alerts.
Alerts are especially useful when you are waiting for a particular answer to a question but you don’t have the time to keep checking the website.
Use alerts to notify you when someone wants to see your business URL! Use it for marketing as well as a community contribution tool. Create brand awareness at the same time as adding ‘quality content’ to Ask & Voices, however don’t bother if you are going to post junk and spam or posts just to promote your business/URL, because we will delete your account and posts, please consult ‘About Ask & Voices’ for guidelines and assistance.
